Lockton Companies has appointed James Donald as head of risk finance.
The insurance brokerage firm specialises in bespoke casualty and liability programmes, as well as a range of programme design alternatives, including alternative risk finance and captive insurers.
Lockton also handled several types of major reinsurance classes, including business interruption, natural catastrophe perils, London Market facultative reinsurance and retrocession, and alternative risk transfer, including captives and parametric solutions.
Donald has extensive experience in captives and alternative risk transfer solutions, having most recently served as global head of captive solutions at SCOR, having held the position since January 2015.
Before this, he spent more than 10 years at Zurich Financial Services, as global head of credit risk management and general insurance at Zurich Insurance Group, and as head of captive services and alternative risk transfer at Zurich Global Corporate UK respectively.
