Sompo International has appointed Neville Weston as head of global distribution and product development for its reinsurance platform.
Based in the Bermuda office of the speciality provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, Weston will report to CEO of global reinsurance, Christopher Donelan.
As a member of Sompo’s global reinsurance leadership team, Weston will be responsible for assessing, devising and implementing client and broker distribution growth strategies, with a particular emphasis on reinsurance underwriting deal flow and trading capabilities.
He currently serves as vice chairman of Aon Reinsurance Solutions, Bermuda. Previous roles include co-founder, chairman and non-executive director of Helix Underwriting Partners, as well as partner at Aeolus Capital Management and managing director at Guy Carpenter.

This week Sompo Global Risk Solutions launched a cyber insurance offering for small commercial and middle market clients packaged with property and general liability coverage.
The Cyber Suite provides financial protection for cyber extortion, misdirected payment fraud, privacy incident liability, and other cyber risks.
