Aon has named Eric Schwebach as senior managing director of Aon Reinsurance Solutions.
Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Schwebach will report to Trevor Dorr, executive managing director of Reinsurance Solutions.
In his new role, he will focus on the management of major clients as well as the generation of new business,
He joins from reinsurance intermediary Guy Carpenter, where he was most recently a senior vice-president and member of the company’s North American property and casualty (P&C) treaty broking unit.
While at Guy Carpenter, Schwebach served as an account executive and senior broker for several high-profile global and nationwide insurance carriers with a focus on property lines of business.
Prior to Guy Carpenter, he worked with Aon Benfield’s client development and production teams for 15 years and was based in the Chicago office. He began his reinsurance career at Benfield in 2006.
Commenting on Schwebach’s appointment, Dorr says: “Eric Schwebach is a tremendous addition to our team in Minneapolis. We believe that his skill set will benefit our clients and we’re extremely pleased to have Schwebach join our growing Aon broking team.”
In March 2021, Aon hired John McElroy to join its Bermuda operations of reinsurance solutions.
