ICCIE offer new scholarship opportunities

The International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) is offering two scholarship opportunities, the Harry House Captive Insurance Scholarship, sponsored by HAI Group and the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) Distinguished Scholar Award.

The Harry House Scholarship is reserved for minority students enrolled in an actuarial or risk management programme at an accredited college or university. The full scholarship recipient will be permitted to attend all required courses free of charge as long as they pass each course.

To apply for this scholarship this form must be completed and submitted before the deadline of 30 June 2020.

For the VCIA Distinguished Scholar Award, participants must be employed by a member company of VCIA; provide two letters of reference citing achievements in, or commitment to, the captive insurance profession; and cite evidence of involvement in the community.

The ICCIE awards one full scholarship per year to a member of VCIA.

A panel of three industry participants are appointed by ICCIE to review the applications and make the selection.

The recipient will be permitted to attend all required courses, free of charge.

ICCIE has asked for applicants to send a cover letter along with the above information to: ICCIE VCIA Scholarship Fund, 145 Pine Haven Shores, Suite 1137, Shelburne, VT 05482, or email: info@iccie.org by 30 June 2020.

ICCIE will announce the recipient of both awards in August 2020 as part of VCIA's annual conference, which will be held fully virtual this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
