Guy Carpenter appoints new CEO of Pacific region

Guy Carpenter & Company has named Jeff Saper as CEO of the Pacific region, with immediate effect.

Bringing 30 years of reinsurance market experience to the role, Saper will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s treaty and facultative activities in the Pacific region and will focus on further developing its growth strategy and strengthening its capabilities.

Based in Sydney, Saper will report to Tony Gallagher, Asia Pacific CEO.

Saper re-joined Guy Carpenter in 2014 as head of casualty facultative for Asia Pacific and head of facultative for Australia and will maintain these responsibilities in his new role.

Commenting on his new role, Gallagher said: “With over 30 years in the reinsurance industry, Jeff Saper has established a strong reputation built upon his extensive market knowledge of the Pacific region. I am confident that Saper will lead the Pacific forward to the next level and continue to grow our business in the region.”
