Aon has appointed Richard Jones as executive chairman of its Reinsurance Solutions business in Asia.
Jones will be responsible for business development and supporting clients across the Asia region.
Jones will join Aon in May 2019 reporting to George Attard, CEO Asia of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business.
He joins from Guy Carpenter, where he spent the past 31 years working across a variety of roles, most recently chairman of Asia Pacific.
Having been based in Asia for the past 17 years, Jones brings expertise in the region’s reinsurance market and will continue to be based in Singapore.
Attard described Jones as a “respected leader in the industry” whose “insight, experience and counsel will enhance our capabilities in the region”.
Attard added: “His depth of understanding of the Asia reinsurance sector will assist our firm in delivering the exceptional level of service our clients demand.”
