Marsh has appointed Julie Boucher and Chris Varin to senior leadership roles within Marsh Captive Solutions.
In the newly created position of islands practice leader, Boucher will assume direct leadership of Marsh’s captive offices in Bermuda, Cayman, and Barbados.
Varin will take on a new position as US practice leader, responsible for overseeing Marsh’s US captive management offices.
Both will report to Ellen Charnley, president of Marsh Captive Solutions. The appointments will be effective 1 January 2019.
Boucher, who has more than 30 years of captive experience, will relocate to Bermuda from Vermont where she held the role of Americas practice leader.
Varin brings over 28 years of captive experience and will move from his current role as Vermont office head, remaining in Burlington.

In September, Marsh’s parent company, Marsh & McLennan, agreed to acquire Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group in a deal worth $5.6 billion.
