The annual Western Region Captive Insurance Conference was formally incorporated during this year’s meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The state captive insurance associations of Arizona, Missouri and Utah, which sponsor the conference every year, are the new corporation’s owners.
The new board of the corporation for the next 12 months will be made up of Mike Grubbs as chair, representing Missouri; Martha Hayes as vice president, for Utah; and Rae Brown as treasurer, on behalf of Arizona.
In addition, Alan Fine, Ross Elliot and Mike Low will serve as directors of the board.
Elliot described this year’s conference as “awesome, inspiring, uplifting, educational and re-connecting”.
He added: “Everyone contributed a lot of hard work and creative energy. This was by all measures an extremely successful conference.”
The conference welcomed 160 participants, 24 sponsors and exhibitors, and 25 speakers. It was held between 22 and 24 May.
