Bermuda Captive Conference chair David Gibbons has revealed there will be 16 new captives added to Bermuda’s Captive Hall of Fame.
The award is designed to recognise captive insurers in classes 1, 2, 3, A or B that have been in existence for 25 years.
The captives that have made the grade this year, as well as who they are managed by, include: R&Q’s Adhealth, Hatford HealthCare Indemnity Services, Kitty Hawk Insurance Company and MLA Non-Profit Boat Protection Cooperative; Marsh IAS’s ABS Insurance, IAT Reinsurance Company and Omega Indemnity; Aon’s Glendale Insurance Company, KM International Insurance and River City Insurance; and Beecher Carlson’s Beacon Insurance Company and Pleiades Insurance Company.
The other new entrants to the hall of fame were Mutual Insurance Company of Appleby; Peninsula Insurance of Cedar Management; Professional Agencies Reinsurance of Strategic Risk Solutions (Bermuda); and R.I. Sound Enterprises Insurance of Independent Managers.
