Nevada licensed 50 new captive companies in 2015, beating the 26 that were formed the year before.
As of 19 February, there were 206 active captive companies in Nevada, compared to 160 in 2014.
Speaking last year about Nevada as a captive domicile, Scott Kipper, Nevada’s insurance commissioner, said the state “prides itself on its ability to maintain consistent and high regulatory standards, while also providing good service and a business friendly regulatory environment”.
