Aon opens new global HQ in London

Aon has relocated its headquarters from Chicago to London in a strategic shift that moves Aon closer to the Lloyd’s of London insurance market.


Aon will move to The Leadenhall Building, which will consolidate the firm’s UK property portfolio from five London sites into two.


The new building will consist of 11 floors, 190,000 square feet of vertical campus and provide rom for for more than 2,000 employees.



The designer of Aon’s global HQ, Gensler, said it’s delivered a forward-thinking workplace strategy to transform day-today office life.


Matt Jackson, design director at Gensler, commented: “Once Aon realised the potential of a radical shift to a fully mobile, free address system, the challenge was designing a versatile platform to support this and sustain a growing business.”


David Ledger, COO of Aon UK, said, “At Aon we are committed to delivering the best for our clients and employees. The design of the interior offers [a] creative environment for our employees as well as allowing us to work in an agile and more effective way. The new building also allows us to deliver an engaging experience for our clients.”
