Miller expands sports and leisure business

Miller has appointed Steve Talboys to help drive its sports and leisure offering launched in May 2015.

Talboys will be working with James Hands and other dedicated sports and leisure hires made earlier this year to provide risk management advice and insurance solutions to parties in the sports and leisure sector.

The offering sits within Miller’s wider accident and health business, which has undergone significant growth over recent years and is considered the London market leader.

Hands has more than 15 years of industry experience having previously worked for Willis, SBJ Global Risks and, most recently, Aon where he was managing director of the sports and entertainment practice for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Talboys specialises in arranging personal accident insurance for individual sports professionals, in particular professional footballers. He has previously served at Hyperformance Insurance, Panacea and most recently Aon.

Head of accident and health Steve Murphy, commented: “Sports and leisure business is an excellent fit within our wider accident and health offering and will help to further develop our established reputation in this field.”
