Aon has appointed Qin Lu as CEO of Aon Benefield Greater China and Aon Risk Solutions China based in Hong Kong, with effect later this year.
Subject to regulatory approval in China, Lu will join the regional management teams of Aon Benefield and Aon Risk Solutions respectively and will report to Malcolm Steingold, CEO of Asia Pacific, Aon Benfield, and Sandeep Malik, CEO of Aon Risk Solutions Asia.
Lu brings 20 years of industry experience and most recently served as president of Swiss Re, China and member of Swiss Re Asia management team.
Previous to that, he served as the head of property and casualty in China and general manager of the Beijing Branch at Swiss Re.
Steingold commented: “Lu, as CEO for Aon Benfield Greater China, will lead the next phase of our development as a market and thought leader in the Chinese insurance and reinsurance market.”
