Drinker Biddle & Reath has added two US lawyers to its London office.
Charles Cowan and Kristi Garrett join Andrea Best, who leads the office and was named partner earlier this year.
Cowan joins the firm as counsel and brings experience serving the property casualty insurance industry in the US and in the UK. His experience qualifies him to service international insurance and other risk transfer businesses in connection with their US interests.
He was most recently the manager of investigations at Lloyd’s of London where he handled US investigations and regulatory compliance, financial crime matters and trade sanctions compliance.

Garrett joins the firm after serving at law firms in New York and London, and has previously worked with several of the Drinker Biddle’s New York-based lawyers.
She has extensive experience as a litigator, having played key roles in several internal investigations. She will support Best and Cowan in the London office.
