Cogeris to offer insurance tailored to physicians

The board of directors of Keystone Mutual Insurance, a St. Louis-based medical malpractice insurance company, has allied with a newly launched insurance agency, Cogeris Insurance Group.

In addition to Keystone Mutual as the preferred medical malpractise insurance, Cogeris also offers a full portfolio of professional insurance specialised for Missouri physicians.

“A successful medical practice today has to have an insurance partner that they can trust and who understands the changeable environment for physicians,” said Robert McMahon, former president of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society.

“Cogeris is fulfilling a need that is long overdue in the Missouri market with their combination of experience and wide variety of specialised insurance products.”

All insurance options offered under Cogeris meet guidelines outlined by its board that are specific to physicians.

“With Cogeris, we have gathered the best minds and policy options in insurance—all with an earnest desire to best serve Missouri physicians,” commented Jim Bowlin, leader of Cogeris and Keystone Mutual.

“It is the only agency in the region to focus exclusively on the insurance needs of medical professionals.”

Cogeris was launched using private funding. Its directors include McMahon, Bowlin, and Craig McPartlin, CFO of Keystone Mutual.
