The prodigal Johnson returns

ISU have hired veteran property casualty expert Ken Johnson as managing director of business development in San Francisco.

Johnson brings more than 25 years of experience serving the middle-market in a variety of industries including transportation, hospitality, financial services, professional services, technology and artisan contractors.

Prior to joining ISU, Johnson was managing director of Lighthouse Risk and Insurance Services (LRIS) and developed custom insurance programs for AAA NCNU Tow Service Providers.

He has held key business development and client relationship roles for national and regional brokerage firms. During his 10 years as a producer and area vice president at Arthur J. Gallagher, Johnson worked with a wide range of businesses, small and mid-sized organisations, as well as Fortune 500 companies.

Johnson has created captive insurance programs, managed franchisee group purchasing programs and other affinity risk transfer mechanisms.

Johnson started his insurance career at ISU in 1989. He returns to the organisation with a commitment to managing and growing the Vertical Market Program.

TJ Ryan, CEO of ISU Group, said: "[Johnson] has great passion and enthusiasm for finding ways to provide creative and custom solutions for his clients.”

"We are thrilled he is bringing that passion and expertise back to ISU's clients and service teams. We are excited about having [Johnson] back on the team and assuming such an important role for us. He is a thought leader who will offer clients innovative and tailored solutions."
