Willis Group has appointed Rafal Walkiewicz as managing director of the insurance investment banking division of Willis Capital Markets & Advisory (WMCA).
Based in New York and reporting to Tony Ursano, WCMA’s CEO, he will develop the firm’s capital raising and mergers and acquisitions business.
Walkiewicz joins from Goldman Sachs, where he held a position in its financial institutions group, focusing on insurance space, for 10 years.
Ursano commented on the appointment: “Walkiewicz’s appointment deepens and broadens WCMA’s already formidable pool of expertise. He brings with him an outstanding selection of strategic industry relationships, and extensive experience of executing high profile transactions.”
