Barbican Insurance has employed an underwriter for its international casualty reinsurance division. Tim Mackenzie will work with Andy Caldwell, head of non-marine reinsurance.
Mackenzie began his insurance career at Royal & Sun Alliance in 2003.
From 2005, Mackenzie served as an international casualty treaty underwriter at Faraday Re. He worked across motor, general liability and professional indemnity for the UK, Europe, Australasia and the Caribbean.
Mackenzie commented on his new position: “I am very much looking forward to utilising my experience to help the Barbican casualty team continue its strong performance.”
Caldwell also commented on the addition of Mackenzie: “[His] appointment strengthens the team and we look forward to further building our market position.”
