JLT has recruited five people in London to expand its global construction practice.
Alistair Urquhart will join to head the broking team. Urquhart is currently head of global placement at Marsh Construction.
Darren Marshall will join to lead a team focusing on power, energy and mining projects around the world. He is joining from Aon where he currently leads the global power construction team.
In the UK, Mike Lewis will be joining as a partner in the contractor’s team.
Paul Knowles, the managing director for the construction and real estate division at JLT Specialty, said that the hires would help to take advantage of opportunities arising from the global growth in the power, energy and mining segments.
