The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is hosting the 6th annual International Insurance Forum on 9-10 May in Washington DC.
The forum will bring together US and international regulators, consumer advocates, academics and industry leadership.
Ben Nelson, NAIC CEO, will offer perspectives on the impact of international regulatory developments on the US supervisory framework of state-based insurance regulation.
Discussion topics are set to include, components of effective group supervision, the role of insurance as a disaster risk management tool, and longevity risk and the search for solutions.
Other featured speakers and panelists include current chief state insurance regulators as well as representatives from the International Monetary Fund, the Federal Reserve Board and CEOs from internationally active insurance companies.
