Development testing company Coverity has appointed executive vice president and CFO of the San Diego Padres, Fred Gerson, to its board of directors as chairman of the board’s audit committee.
Gerson is currently on the board of directors of Major League Baseball’s captive insurance entity and is director and chair of the audit committee of Infloblox, a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange.

Gerson previously held the role of director and chairman of the audit committee of DivX Inc. until its acquisition in 2010.
