Leaders from the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) will be available on Thursday, 11 October to discuss IAIS activities and matters addressed during the IAIS Annual Conference held in Washington, D.C. hosted by the NAIC.
The conference agenda includes sessions on developing a common framework for the regulation of internationally active insurance groups; financial stability, including identifying global systemically important insurers (G-SIIs); financial inclusion and emerging markets; and improving consumer protection.
Speaking at the meeting will be Peter Braumüller, IAIS executive committee chair, Yoshihiro Kawai, IAIS Secretary General, Kevin McCarty, NAIC president and Florida Insurance Commissioner, and Therese Vaughan, NAIC chief executive officer.
