Alera Group, a risk management and wealth management firm, has acquired Spring Consulting Group, a risk management consultancy.
Spring Consulting is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Alera’s acquisition will be effective from 1 February 2018.
Founded in 2004, Spring Consulting provides overall financing and funding solutions for benefit programs, including the use of captive insurance vehicles.
It also provides employee benefit consulting, brokerage and actuarial services to employers.
Spring Consulting is the first acquisition for Alera Group in the Boston market.
Aisling Partners Insurance Brokerage, Davidson Benefits Planning and HR Benefit Advisors were also acquired by Alera Group on 1 February 2018, bringing their total number of acquisitions since launching in January 2017 to 20.
