Scott Beckman re-elected as chair

Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has re-elected Scott Beckman to chair of the board of directors in Orlando.

Beckman is vice president at ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company in Chicago. Prior to that, he was vice president of risk management and insurance for Advocate Health Care Network.

In addition to Beckman, the CICA board of directors elected Michael Bemi as vice chair. Bemi is president and CEO of The National Catholic Risk Retention Group and is president of its wholly owned subsidiary management company, National Catholic Services.

Joel Chansky, a consulting actuary and a principal with the Boston office of Milliman, was elected as secretary and treasurer.

Fredrik Finnman, Steven McElhiney, and Robert Myers were elected to the CICA board of directors.
Finnman is group risk and insurance manager for ASSA ABLOY. McElhiney is president of EWI Re, chief risk officer for Contran Corporation, and president of Tall Pines Insurance Company of Vermont. Myers is the managing partner of the Washington DC office of Morris Manning & Martin and is co-chair of its insurance and reinsurance practice.
